"La Famille Belier"

 

I seen several "CODA" with the same storyline, just change the situation. "La Famille Belier" is a French a film I watch on an  Emirates overnight flight to Milan five years ago.  "CODA," now being shown at the Sundance Film Festival is based on that film, the only differences is that her Deaf family are farmers and she aspires to be a singer. Whenever there is a "CODA" in the title, you can assume that it's somewhat related to music. 

I also want to point out that the word, CODA, has another definition of being a conclusion like the final final film in the Godfather trilogy.
