A transgender Deaf Japanese, So Sato, is an pole vaulter will be watching the Tokyo Olympics closely because several gay athletics will be competing. He hopes the government will change their attitudes and recognize their rights. So Sato is not participating. this year but he will be at the Deaflympics next year in Brazil.
