My 2001 Toyota Echo finally hits the 300,000 miles goal, mission accomplished and perhaps it's time to replace it. 

I'm thinking of a down payment of $3,000, that's one cent for every mile driven.

As an alterative, maybe I 'll let a Cuban mechanic check it out, do a few repairs and aim for 400.000 miles.
