Nate Sandel of the Columbia River Maritime Museum started a program where school children in both the United States and Japan build a miniboat to cross the Pacific Ocean. They installed a GPS device onboard to keep track of its location. I thought it'll be a cool idea if the Deaf schools of both nations get involved in this "Friendship Voyage" educational project. I wonder where will it land and how long it'll take to arrive. It's like putting a note in a bottle and let it float in an ocean stream hopefully someone will response.
When in Oregon, a visit to the Columbia River Maritime Museum is worthwhile stop on your travel across America.
