British Deaf News

Imagine that there is no programs on television, it's just full  of  commercials. Imagine there is no articles in the newspapers, it's full of advertisings. People are canceling their subscriptions and cutting cable wires and going elsewhere to the new frontiers of  social media and live streaming, etc.
Yesterday, I was checking out the British Deaf News in Facebook but it was full of paid advertisings and that turned me off. Social media is the greatest opportunity to get your messages heard but unfortunately the that  not the case here. There are so many Deaf issues within our community that needs our attention, fighting discrimination and improving the quality of our life. Social media is the place to discuss issues at hand, seek feedbacks, setting a clear vision, grassroots mobilizing and training advocates, etc. There are differences between websites and social media. Websites are usually the source of information but social media is where the action is.

Deaf are not contributing to Deaf organizations to support their cause but patronize the businesses on their sites.

This is Smokey stay tuned for the next episode of Deaf Anthology, Good Night Deaf America!
