Sundance Film Festival

Apple bought the rights to "CODA" for 25 million dollars in a bidding war at the at the Sundance Film Festival, a new record. It's a simple story about Ruby, a CODA, struggling between pursuing a music career or staying with her Deaf parents family fishing business.  I've seen so many films with the same storyline, only the situations are different. CODA is  based on a popular French film, "La Famille Belier"  which I already seen on an  Emirates overnight flight to Milan five years ago. You seen one "Coda" film, you seen them all.

CODA / U.S.A. Director and Screenwriter: Siân Heder

Cast: Emilia Jones, Eugenio Derbez, Troy Kotsur, Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Daniel Durant and Marlee Matlin.

This is Smokey stay tuned for the next episode of Deaf Anthology, Good Night Deaf America!
