A Minneapolis Deaf man was arrested after getting into an argument with a store clerk who refuses to issue a refund or exchange a battery, claiming that it's defective. The judge release him on bail after an overnight in jail.
The store, obviously upset, clerk decided to press charges against him.
The judge was lenient, allowing him to plea on a lesser charge of disorderly conduct, expecting him to volunteer with a local organization that distribute hearing aids and batteries to those on low income while on probation. Also, the judge order him to participate in an anger management class
It's just not worth it being charged with battery over a defective battery.
This is Smokey stay tuned for the next episode of Deaf Anthology, Good Night Deaf America.
