Chris Haulmark won the souls and hearts of the people of Kansas in an attempt to become the first Deaf state legislator in America but his ex-girlfriends, to the delights of Republicans, torpedoed his efforts. It's was a close election, as you can see in the chart above, despite an negative article in the Kansas City Star and campaigning without the support of the local county Democratic Party. Deaf Anthology endorses his candidacy and is proud of his efforts. In the future, Deaf should focus on important issues, not rumors. We lost an opportunity of making history.
