A Deaf child was left at a local hospital last Saturday afternoon, abandoned by their parents. A note was attached, stating that they love her but were unable to communicate. Nebraska's "Safe Haven" laws was intended for those who want to give up their newborns. The Deaf child, a ward of the state, is now in a foster home awaiting adoption.
