As we all know, Kissimmee Police are compassionate and understanding and if they puled over anyone over for passing through the red light , the driver have some explaining to do. The officers heard all kinds of excuses but some are legitimate such as unable to see the traffic light signals when you are blinded by the sunrise while driving east. Parents may be distracted by children having a meltdown. Elderly with a medical condition, etc. This gives the officer discretion to issue a ticket, warning, or to forgive, reminding us to drive carefully. The Kissimmee police department job is to protect and serve us by going after those who who deliberately ignore the law and disregard public safety, not those law abiding citizens that who unintended passed a red light. Red light camera controversy can ruin Kissimmee reputation among tourists here in the most popular destination in America. I think that Thomas Jefferson would agreed with me that the red light cameras are unconstitutional. (Osceola News-Gazette)
