The Greater Milwaukee Association of the Deaf (GMAD) will soon celebrate its 100th anniversary on Saturday, November 6, 4 - 11 pm. Details available soon so mark your calendar to come to Milwaukee that weekend. There are plenty of things to do while in the area. You can eat at Maders, a popular local German restaurant, visit the Harley-Davidson museum, gambling at Potawatomi, and a tour of the Miller brewery, etc. You may want to book a room at the Iron Horse if you coming down on a motorcycle. Now is the to book your flights and accommodations. The Wisconsin School for the Deaf (WSD) recently took a field trip to visit the Deaf club to learn about its heritage and its importance within our Deaf community. They were encouraged to lead leadership skills, be our advocate and be active in their local, state and national Deaf organizations. You go to GMAD FB to receive periodical updates. Milwaukee is a great place on a Great Lake, perhaps we'll see you there.
