Deaf Anthology # 262: "Patroitism"

Trivia: Lincoln was born 2/12/1809.

There been some discussion on flag burning recently on Deafread. Here's a video that will give us something to think about who we are as Americans. We take pride in our country, unfortunately some of us Deaf don't. We shouldn't take freedoms for granted as many Americans sacrificed their lives to preserved it, the timing just right as Memorial day is approaching.

A few of us Deaf Dodger fans witnessed Rick Monday of the Chicago Cubs saved an American from a couple of Muslims attempting to burn the flag on the field during the fourth inning in a game on April 27th, 1976. Patriotism unheard of in the pre-9/01 era.

"It's a done deal," after a handshake with Bill Gates, now that Microsoft have acquired Deafread to be bundled in the next generation of X-Box, details to be announced at the upcoming Consumer Electronic Show (CES) this summer in Orlando, after initial contact, setting the framework, since Vegas. Sources indicated that the X-Box will be "Deaf-friendly," having all the tools necessary for multi-tasking, including a videophone which enabled several Deaf to play the latest version while chatting with each others at the same time. One can surf the internet with Deafread having its own desktop icon (just a click away, no need to type in the searchbox) in addition to its VRS function. You can personalized your own screensaver with a family slideshow. Its giving competitions a run for its money. Why have a link when an icon will do. "Our world become smaller with each advances in technology...," quoted Tayler from his new office in the Space Needle, with spectacular view of the Seattle skylines and surroundings mountainous countryside, despite his fear of height, "...and X-Box will have the features that we Deaf couldn't imagined without the research grants and consumer feedback, we'll benefited with our partnership." Microsoft have been aggressive in reaching all segments of the market, the Deaf among them, where there are potential revenues. We are the stakeholders as capitalists. "There is a lot of perks being involved.... "(alarm flashing) It's dawn, Tayler awaken, realizing it's only a dream, life goes on as usual.
