Once again, the annual rites are back, it's homecoming weekend for us Deafies to reunite with our friends at our old Alma Mater, we'll explore our Deaf cultural values, how the world have changed over the years with an essay comparing our past and presence, showing the evolution of our traditions.

1. Then: Deaf children who died during the school year are buried on campus.

Now: Deaf pregnant teenagers get abortion off campus.

2. Then: Most of the Deaf have decent jobs working at the newspaper as linotypists, or being a postal mail handler with good benefits.

Now: Most of the Deaf are living on SSI and complaining about life.

3. Then: Deaf families bring their children.

Now: Deaf gays bring their partners.

4. Then: The Deaf captain of your old football team is now a coach at school.

5. Then: You get to see your old classmates stoned on drugs.

Now: Most of your classmates are dead.

6. Then: Your teacher doesn't know sign language.

Now: Your teacher still haven't yet learn sign language.

7. Then: Deaf school superintendent announces a master plan for new classrooms and dormitories.

Now: Deaf school superintendent asks for your support to oppose a bill in state legislature to close the Deaf school.

8. Then: Someone got inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Now: You are still not in the Hall of Fame yet.

9. Then: They served dried salads, watery soups, undercooked chicken, and sugary punch at the banquet.

10. Then: Deaf gossiping about your drunkard husbands bragging about his bowling trophies.

Now: Deaf gossiping about your Deaf brother who is a bastard that doesn't give a damn of what anyone think about this blog, so take your comments and shove it up your ass.
