Deaf Anthology # 612: "DPS"

A film crew from Dreamworks are on the Gallaudet campus this week shooting a pilot "DPS*" for an upcoming new series on A&E exploring Deaf students interaction with campus security officers. Their safety and well-being are one of the major concern of the present administration. Gallaudet is among a few colleges featured in this extraordinarily project. The pilot involves the DPS investigation into the stolen coffin door which was later discovered in the gravesite of a former Kappa Gamma Grand Rijah. A current "Pledge" was arrested and ordered to pay restitution, he will be inducted into the fraternity after serving out his probation. Many scripts, such as the streaking incident, Krug Hall murders, and the Deaf President Now (DPN) movement, are in the works. A&E will order 26 episodes if the Nielsen ratings for the pilot hold up.
