The Deaf churches across the nation are experiencing the dominoes effect, one after another, collapses due to the ignorance of audist elders whom never bother to understand our Deaf culture, despite our efforts to educate them. The latest victim here suffered under these ignorant, audist elders that gave our Deaf pastor a pink slip without our input. They claims that he ought to be with his wife living in another state, but really they just wanted to save a few bucks to build a new church in a white populated area, so I suspected racism may be a factor, because most of our Deaf are minorities. The white people moved to the suburbs so does the church along with them. The Deaf don't have autonomy, they decided what is best for us, even mandated that the topic, "Giving," be taught in our Deaf bible studies for the next thirteen weeks, so it's all about money, nothing else. They might as well sell indulgences like the Catholics did centuries ago. The Deaf are being spiritually oppressed, indoctrinated according to the Campbelites, unable to questioned their faith, such as not allowing us to feel the vibrations of banned music. Conservatives accused others as being liberal, and frankly I don't give a damn. We are one, no matter how we understood the Bible, being criticized with a different viewpoint is like being burned at stake for heresies. To me, the DLC, whatever, is nothing more than a rubber stamp to every elders' whims. The Deaf leader, a puppet, gave a sermon that the church is like a boat and we ought to save those drowning out there, don't they realized that they just thrown their Deaf pastor overboard, it's the audists that caused the mutiny. The ship is now in a storm without guidance, souls now backsliding. Whole Deaf ministry collapse under audism along with its college, camp, foreign mission, etc. One pastor admitted in Christianity Today that we spend more on our liability policy than on our Deaf ministry. Deaf ministry is always first on the chopping block, if we don't tip our waitresses, than how can you expect us to give our tithe when most of us are living on "welfare," so their efforts will backfired. Paul spoke out with his letters, so I spoke out with this blog. They taught us to respect our elders, but not while they are a barrier to our personal relationship with our Lord. Amen!
This is Smokey, stay tuned for the next episode of Deaf Anthology. Good night, Deaf America!
