Outhouses are starting to pop up all over Jefferson County as we couldn't afford our sewer bills. According to the Birmingham News, Jefferson County is on the brink of bankruptcy with its $3.2 billion debt. We can expect at least a 25% increase in our bills soon. The average monthly bill is $63. It's time to start learning from our dogs how to swat from behind the bushes.Another thing I want to point out is that some of us are paying a third party rather than the utilities itself, I think it's corruption within the system when they slap on a service charge, and also a late fee without a reasonable grace period, which ought to be outlawed. The only way to save money is not to flush. Gas stations and fast food restaurants will soon complaint that non-consumers are using its facilities, creating chaos within our society. The only thing I am thankful is that we are not still paying off promissory notes from the Confederacy regime.
Also in the news, they just caught an inmate trying to escape digging a tunnel, unfortunately didn't call the hotline first.
This is Smokey, stay tuned for the next episode of Deaf Anthology. Good night, Deaf America!
