Any Deaf who can't afford their electrical bills because of peak usage during the recent heat wave may qualify for financial assistance from the Project Share. You will need to register at the local Red Cross office. Alabama Power will donate $500,000 to nonprofits groups to promote their "Heat Relief Initiative." I encouraged local chapters of AAD to apply for such grants to improve the quality of life within our Deaf community, empowerment belongs to us.
