Let's discuss politics, the presidential election is two years away. It is possible that one can win the popular vote, and yet still lose the election. We don't direct elect our President directly, but chooses delegate who will casts the votes for us. We are all familiar with the electoral college, but I just want to point out in this blog an interesting tidbit I recently learn is that in six states, including Massachusetts, where all of its delegates goes to the candidate that won the national popular vote, regardless how its residents vote. Just think of it, if everyone in your state vote for a Republican candidate, all of its delegates goes to a Democratic candidate because he has the most votes nationwide. I still figured that Gore, not Bush, wouldn't get us in this mess in Iraq, if Florida hasn't screw up our history, we would've handled 9/11 differently. We regret that we can't change our past but to learn from it, but being humans, and we may never get it right.
This is Smokey, stay tuned for the next episode of Deaf Anthology. Good night, Deaf America!
