Southern California Seniors Task Force have revealed today details of the 314 units Deaf Seniors apartment project in Long Beach, facing the Pacific Ocean, with its own waterfront restaurant onsite that is also open to the public, so it can be self-supporting, meeting its operational needs. The spa includes a fitness center, wi-fi Internet and cable are included in the rent which are set at 30% income to those who qualified for HUD assistance. An open-house is scheduled for Labor Day weekend. Media sources indicated that the task force been seaching for suitable land throughout the area but can't afford its skyrocketing costs and the taxes imposed on our corporation, then came along the bankrupted Queen Mary hotel which was up for auction, it was bought by a billionaire as an investment, who incidentally heard about our efforts, agreed to lease it to us for $1 a year, on the condition that he'll take care of its maintanance costs in exchange for exclusive rights to run a restaurant, spa, and shops on its premise. Brochures will be available at the open-house, working-class Deaf people may also rent at market rate if there are any units leftovers. Those who get seasick are not encouraged to apply.
