Deaf Anthology # 579: "Death Valley"

This Californian Deaf hiker, seeking relief from the sun, found shelter in a cave, stumbled onto something, while drinking bottled water to satisfied his thirst, fearing rattlesnakes, in its darkness lighted a flare only to discover something, the "golden tablets," which became known as the Death Valley scrolls, reaffirming the faith of Joseph Smith followers. The proceeds from the auction will pay for the Deaf hiker lifetime dream, an expenditure trip up Mt. Everest. The highest bidder was an atheist who had it destroyed, so we will never know its content.
