Deaf Anthology # 578: "Mail"

Silver Spring, Maryland (DA) This Deaf guy living in fear, "...what's the hell going on, why is it happening to me?" First they repossessed my car, then the power went off, the Sheriff has just given him an eviction notice.

Something is wrong, haven't even got my SSI check, maybe it got lost in the mail. "I don't want to live on the gang-infested streets. Here is the source of the problem that been causing his nightmares, a neighbor told the mail carrier that I am Deaf, but he misunderstood and thought I was dead, so he marked all mails, "Deceased," and return them back to the sender. A postal branch official apologized, disciplined the carrier, offer to make amends.
