Jose was driving down the highway, "look out," slammed on his brakes, leaving skid marks. There is a frightened dog alongside, was lost, but now found. Lifted and hugged, licking his face, tail wagging, obviously a friendly dog. Jose knew his wife wouldn't accept another dog into the household he start asking around, bathing him to remove the fleas. I went across the street, to search out a vet to check him out, Jose caught me in my humble act. It is great to know that people cares. Ben, I prefer to give him a nickname Gentle Ben, agrees to adopt the dog, given the name "Alabama," that was unique itself. Is there a "Connecticut" out there, I wondered. Ben, with faith, decided to be baptized that night, me the following day. So what's the message here, that man best friends can be both God and the dog. God created us so that we can fellowship with him. The dog is here to accompany us so we wouldn't feel so lonely. We were abandoned (blame Eve), until a "savior" came along to rescue us. The dog fleas were taken away, so were our sins. The dog now has a home while we await ours in the hereafter.
This is Smokey, stay tuned for the next episode of Deaf Anthology. Good night, Deaf America!
