Went to this small town, they are celebrating the 50th anniversary debut of the television show, "Mayberry." Ain't much going on as they had an indoor program, a relief from the humidity, consisting of trivia and a look-alike contest. I think the most interesting thing overall is there is such an organization of collectors of "Mayberry" sheriff cars, with their own team shirts. I counted four altogether, they are a classic, it's cool to be photographed with one. One a volunteer involved was a former interpreter, now battling MS. Would I be able to survive in small town Americana without the pleasures of that our cities, that remains to be seen. Is that a coincident that both Gomer and Gober characters are native of the same state. Any Deaf "Mayberry" fans out there, perhaps we should hook up.

This is Smokey, stay tuned for the next episode of Deaf Anthology. Good night, Deaf America!
