A Deaf actor will be in an upcoming episode of "What Would You Do?" on the ABC network. The series will deal with people reaction when a Deaf peddler approaches them with a manual alphabet card (or keychain) asking for money. This will take place at the Los Angeles (LAX) airport terminal. Camera crew would try a variety of setups, using factors such as race, gender, and disabilities including the Deaf peddler and the blind actor with the white cane. I think it is an interesting concept, but what they didn't expect was the confrontations when Deaf travellers spotted them. I can't give you any more details, so check it out.
