The Deaf Palestinians living in Gaza under Hamas control are suffering due to the Israeli naval blockage of flotilla of ships carrying humanitarian aid from Turkey. This segment was shown on ABC News last night, with the Deaf signing, indicating they are unemployed and living on a $70 a month stipends from the Palestinian Authority. The Hamas provides good social services even though they declined to recognized Israel rights to exist. I think the United States government should just go ahead and recognize the new nation of Palestine and establish diplomatic relations. We had an economic boycott against Cuba all these years, and Fidel Castro is still around, profiting from European tourism and investments. We should give up our imperialistic ambition and gunboat diplomacy. We live in a changing world and should accept the rise in Islamic religion, and it shouldn't lead us to isolationism. It about time we put up with our neighbors we don't get along with and let us live in peace without fear of a nuclear annihilation. Our society is a melting pot so why couldn't it be that way globally. We got problems, haven't we so deal with it. Anyway, in other news, the MSSD rugby team was shown on CBS.
