Deaf Anthology # 499: "What if..."

Another Christian film, this trailer has closed-captioned on them, so I left my comment on their website.

What if all the Deaf people goes to Hell, why? Because they never heard the Word of God, why is that Christian movies in the theatres don't have open-captions (or subtitles) on them for us Deaf, why do they release the film on DVD without the closed-captions. Why we Deaf are forgotten, we spend millions to send missionaries overseas to save their souls and yet can't save the soul of a next door neighbor due to lack of communications. We Christians are really hypocrites, eager to learn a foreign language to go overseas and won't even bother to take up American Sign Language (ASL). Come on for crying out loud, or for that matter, for signing out silently.

The Deaf churches are at a disadvantage, we just don't have equal access to the religious materials for us. God didn't forsaken us, it's the ignorants that don't give a damn about us.
