Deaf Anthology # 391: "Promo"

I am aware that the "Late Show" promo (it's not a commercial, mind you) air during the Superbowl without the closed-captioned. The promo was filmed in secrecy at the Ed Sullivan theatre the Tuesday before the game, the executives at both CBS and NBC were kept in the dark. Only the producer and the three casts themselves are aware of what's happening. Jay Leno didn't show up at his prime time program, which was replaced by the "Biggest Losers," to fly into New York disguised in an overcoat and a mustache. We just can't just risk of having the taping leaked to the public and I wouldn't trust those people who does the captioning for the networks as they can spoiled the surprise when the world least expect both David Letterman and Jay Leno seated on the same couch with Oprah Winfrey keeping the peace. Jay remarked that it's his worst Super Bowl party he ever been to. Dave, after being told by Oprah "..be nice," replied "He saying that because I am here." Jay and Dave haven't seen each others for 18 years!Everyone can see the captioned version when it was rerun on the news and entertainment channels.

I can understand the circumstances, no big deal!
