Deaf Anthology # 117: "Twilight Deafzone III"

It's Halloween night, a full moon, a Deaf family is preparing to go out trick or treating, to stock up on goodies.

Smokey: "There is a fifth dimension beyond that are known to the Deaf. A dimension that involves time and space with no known boundaries somewhere between light and shadow, between science and superstition, the Deaf fears the unknown, despite our knowledge. This dimension is our imagination as you enters the Twilight Deafzone"

Joan: "You see you are wearing your brother's Spiderman outfit."

Deaf child: "Mom, it's me."

The two went out, everyone in the neighbors commenting how the Deaf child looks like his brother.

Joan: "Joshua, everyone thinks you are Jeffrey."

Deaf child: "Mom, I'm not Joshua."

The father arrives home, after working overtime, finding his Deaf son, Joshua in the living room watching a scary movie.

John: "Why aren't you out trick or treating, where's mom?"

Joshua: "Halloween will never be the same again without my brother Jeffrey, I haven't seen Mom since we made the jack o' latern together."

John: "You did a good job carving that pumpkin."

Meanwhile, the two completed their rounds and are ready to come home.

John: "Where have you been?

Joan: "We just came back from trick or treating, it was strange that everyone been commenting that he looks like Jeffrey."

John: "When are you going to get over the fact that Jeffrey was killed by a drunk driver last Halloween."

Jeffrey: "Joshua, here are the goodies, I must get back to my gravesite where I belong." (hugs)

Joshua: "I just saw my brother, Jeffrey, the ghost left the goodies for me!"

The mother fainted after realizing that Spiderman was her dead son.

John: "I am dumbfounded, the only way I can explain this is that the departed spirits return to be with their family this time of the year.

Smokey: "In some cultures, this is time of the year when the departed spirits return to the world, some family make it a tradition to honor them, if you met someone that you thought you may have known in the past, he may not be who you think he is, we will leave it at that as we departs the Twilight Deafzone."
